NOW® Mushroom GlycoNutrients
is a nutritional supplement designed to support healthy immune function. Mushroom GlycoNutrients contains RBAC™,
a glyconutrient compound called arabinoxylan that is formed when an extract of rice bran fiber is broken down with enzymes
from the Shiitake mushroom. Clinical studies have shown that RBAC™ has a number of beneficial effects on healthy
immune function, including the ability to increase B-Cell and T-Cell counts, and to stimulate NK cell activity. In
addition, RBAC™ helps to support overall healthy immune function. NOW® Mushroom GlycoNutrients also contain
a blend of Maitake, Reishi and Shiitake Mushrooms, which provides a high 1,3 Beta Glucan content. Mushroom Beta Glucans
have been shown to possess a remarkable ability to support both innate and adaptive healthy immune function.*

Glyconutrients are eight immune
sugars that the body uses for cell to cell comunication. These sugars are not used by the body as a source
of energy/fuel as other carbohydrates are used. As you read this, much research is being done on glyconutrients.
You need to learn as much as you can about these all important eight glyconutrients.
Of the 200 monosaccharides that occur naturally in plants, eight are known to be components
of cell-surface glycoforms used in cell-to-cell communication. These eight sugars are glucose, fucose, mannose, galactose,
xylose, N-acetylglucosamine, N-acetylgalactosamine and N-acetylneuraminic acid. Only two of these, glucose and galactose,
are commonly found in foods we choose to eat.
